MH Corporate Finance GmbH

solutions for capital

MHCF and ESG

Being close to clients is one of our keys to success so that we must travel from time to time to make a personal contact possible whenever needed. However, at MHCF we care for our environment and try to limit the impact of travel by car or plane. We calculate the CO2 emissions caused by us and compensate for them at the market price for CO2 certificates.

We believe that saving existing eco-systems is the best way to make our contribution. Therefore, we donate to reputable organisations dedicated to conserve unspoilt wilderness or protect “signature animals” and their natural habitats.

"We take responsibility and act"

We regularly support the following organizations and encourage you to take a closer look at their work and possibly join us in assisting them

Regenwald der Österreicher / Rainforest of the Austrians

(Costa Rica)

www.regenwald.at

The association Rainforest of the Austrians is dedicated to saving the Esquinas rainforest in Costa Rica. Donations of more than 3 million dollars have been used to purchase properties that are then integrated into Piedras Blancas National Park. Aside from land purchase, the Austrian NGO helps protect the forest by hiring guards, has founded a research station and an ecotourism project, and is actively involved in reforestation with the goal of creating biological corridors between isolated patches of rainforest.

We have stayed at Esquinas Rainforest Lodge ourselves and can only recommend this cosy place for a relaxing and educating nature break!

World Wildlife Fund
(WWF)
www.wwf.at

WWF works to help local communities conserve the natural resources they depend upon, transform markets and policies toward sustainability, and protect and restore species and their habitats. Their efforts ensure that the value of nature is reflected in decision-making from a local to a global scale. We donate to the following outstanding WWF projects:
1. Amazon Rainforest (Brazil)
The Amazon rainforest - the world's green lung - is on fire. with dangerous consequences for our global climate.
WWF counteracts the destruction of the rainforest by creation of protected areas and protection of indigenous territories to preserve the last intact rainforests involving the local population and their needs.
2. Jaguar (Brazil)
Only 80 years ago, this great cat was found from the southwest of the United States down to northern Argentina. Today, half of its habitat is destroyed, and Jaguars can only be found in the Amazon Basin. Next to the protection of the rainforest WWF also does a lot of Jaguar monitoring to learn more about this hidden hunter.
3. Snow Leopard (Bhutan / Tajikistan / Kyrgyzstan)
The snow leopard was once the undisputed king of the mountains. But now his survival is in danger. WWF projects fight poaching, enable a peaceful coexistence between humans and snow leopards, provide training against wildlife crime for customs and police officers and most importantly implement herd protection measures to reduce human-animal conflicts.
